This trip took place the first week in October, 2006.

We stayed at the Loch Rannoch Highland Club in a very spacious and comfortable, self-catering Lodge.

Although the weather was predominantly wet, we managed some excellent walks and generally had a splendid, very cheap, holiday. Certainly a place to visit again in the future.

I particularly recommend the free Whiskey tasting session! Six good quality malts with very different flavours and characteristics.

The background watermark picture is the view from the summit of Schiehallion across Loch Rannoch towards Ben Nevis, (which would be clearly visible in good weather). Although the summit was in cloud for most of the day, the clouds obliged us for half an hour or so while we were at the top.
